Crystal McFadden is a Naval officer, human resources professional, strategic and interagency leader, and champion for financial literacy and empowerment, dedicated to supporting women veterans and military families through education, mentorship, and community engagement.
Originally from Chicago, Crystal’s path into service began with enlistment and evolved into a career shaped by leadership, adaptability, and resilience. Her experience across operational, policy, management, and advisory roles both within and beyond the military, has informed her commitment to helping women build confidence and create sustainable futures during and after service.
Crystal has served in roles across government institutions, including the Departments of War, Navy, State and Congress, contributing to efforts at the intersection of military service, public policy, and civilian communities.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master of Science degree in Strategic Studies. She has also completed advanced leadership and public policy programs focused on governance and public service.
Crystal currently serves as ambassador with Foundation for Women Warriors and is deeply committed to financial literacy as a tool for empowerment, particularly for women navigating military life, career transitions, and long-term stability. She focuses on practical education around financial decision-making, investing, and long-term opportunities.
Crystal currently resides in the Washington, D.C. area with her husband of 15 years and their 10-year-old son. Her interests include reading, cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with friends and family.
