Diane is currently the Director of Career Services for Pepperdine University’s School of Public Policy and a Veteran Transition Specialist with Hire Heroes USA. She manages the program planning, strategic direction, and day-to-day operation of the Career Services Office She is also responsible for the development and coordination of all career, internship, employer relations and alumni services for the School of Public Policy.
Previously, Diane was the Strategic Partnerships Manager for the Veterans First program at Jewish Vocational Service (JVS), a nonprofit agency operating multiple programs and job centers in Los Angeles County. Diane was responsible for developing working relationships with government and community agencies to certify appropriate leveraging of services to veterans, expanding the Veterans First program to address and respond to the unique needs of women veterans and ensuring compliance with requirements for funded proposals from corporations and private foundations. She provided extensive career counseling and job search services to veterans and clients at the JVS Job Center. Never one to pass up a unique experience, her work life has led her to providing therapeutic services and crisis intervention to women in an intensive substance abuse treatment program in Compton, California; working in Greenville, South Carolina, where she led several successful initiatives and programs to connect families in need with pro-bono medical services; and to classrooms in Ecuador teaching public health lessons.
She has always been passionate about addressing the needs of our veterans. She is also the wife of a Navy veteran
Diane holds an MSW in social work from the University of Southern California, as well as a BA in international studies and communication from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
