Roteshia Sanders currently serves as an Ambassador with Foundation for Women Warriors, where she champions the organization’s mission to honor and empower women veterans and their families. In this role, she leans on her military leadership, leadership, resilience, and a lifelong commitment to service.
Roteshia is a United States Army veteran of serving in both the Active Duty and the Army Reserves. She deployed in support of Operations New Dawn and Enduring Freedom, whereas a Human Resources Specialist, she managed the military’s most valuable asset: its people.
Transitioning her military expertise into community advocacy, Roteshia strives to be a pillar of support for military families across the nation. She was recognized as Installation Volunteer of the Year for her transformative work with military children and families at Fort Polk, LA. Roteshia continues to serve her community as a Board Member for the Military Family Advisory Network, Outreach Coordinator for the Protestant Women of the Chapel, and Vice President of the Child, Youth, and School Services Parent Advisory Board.
Roteshia is also a dedicated advocate for those in crisis, serving as a frontline operator for the Families in Crisis Sexual Assault Hotline.
Roteshia holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Upper Iowa University and is currently a candidate for a master’s degree in public administration. A proud mother of four, she resides in Texas, where she continues to champion the empowerment of women veterans and their legacies.
