Our mission is to serve women veterans and their children so that their next mission is clear and continues to impact the world.

Our Mission

For nearly a century Foundation for Women Warriors, a nonprofit organization, has focused on the empowerment of military veterans and their families. Today, Foundation for Women Warriors serves as a unique support organization solely dedicated to serving the women veteran community. We provide essential programs to the fiscal and personal empowerment of women veterans.

Each step taken by our board, team, and volunteers assists these outstanding women to navigate obstacles and realize their maximum potential after their service career.

Speaking Engagements

Our CEO, Board of Directors and staff present their experiences as leaders in their communities to advocate for the empowerment of women veterans. We speak at professional associations, industry conferences, and corporations, among others.

We share inspirational personal narratives, lessons learned, and insights about the challenges today’s women veterans encounter and provide insight as to how our communities can reduce the barriers and stereotypes faced by these courageous women.

    U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command Sgt. U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command Sgt. Maj. Kristie Brady, the first female senior enlisted advisor in CECOM history, officially passed on her responsibilities to the new Command Sgt. Maj. Michael Conaty. 

Brady is now heading to the Pentagon to be the executive officer for the Sgt. Maj. of the Army, Michael Grinston.

    Military aviation proudly recounts its past, susta Military aviation proudly recounts its past, sustains its present and looks towards its future. Part of its history tells the story of the female pilots who stepped up to ensure aircraft were available and ready during World War II. The WASPs, or the Women Airforce Service Pilots, provided an invaluable service to our country in wartime. Their legacy influenced future women in military aviation who became leaders, innovators, and decision-makers. Now, their legacy lives on as the most lethal and connected fifth-generation aircraft, the F-35 Lightning II, operates daily worldwide.

In 2015, then U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Christine Mau became the first female F-35 pilot when she completed a flight in the Lightning II. Mau retired in 2017, but her story remains a key highlight of the F-35 story.

    Meet Col. Eries Mentzer. She was Maxwell Air Force Meet Col. Eries Mentzer. She was Maxwell Air Force Base's first Black female commander. Command changes every two years and as of Friday morning, Eries ended her role as the commander of Maxwell AFB.

The project comes at a time when complaints about the fit of female uniforms persist in the sea service, but service members in other branches struggle to even buy uniform items."
