A generous donor is giving away a car to a military or veteran family who lives in or works in San Diego County. As always, this will be a refurbished car and it will be titled in the recipient’s name at the time of the gifting. The donor will select the candidate from among three or more compelling stories that we forward to them. We do not know the type of vehicles yet, but in the past, they have been basic economy vehicles that are four or less years old, completely restored.
In order to be considered for this amazing gift, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Does not currently own a good working vehicle
- Be financially challenged
- Be able to insure and maintain the vehicle
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Have proof of income/employment
- Have a safe driving record
- Live in San Diego County
- It would also help if they have a compelling story that will help them stand out to the donor.
This is a secure webform where they will be required to complete a brief application, attach proof of military affiliation and share the reason you need this car.
