We would like to congratulate our Director of Community Partnerships and Marine Corps Veteran, Keshia Javis-Jones, for her continued dedication to the veteran community and for being awarded a 2024 CalVet Trailblazer Award!
2024 marked the California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) 11th year of honoring outstanding women veterans in the state.
During her decade in the Marine Corps as an administrator and in reserve career planning, Keshia took on additional duties including coordinator for funeral honors, Toys for Tots, and served as women’s search team advisor. She went on to add a Harvard Business School nonprofit management program to her credentials and now serves on the San Diego Mayor’s Veterans, Military and Families Council. Keshia also is an advisor to the KPBS GI Film Festival, among other community endeavors. She draws from her leadership skills and personal experience to advocate for the women veteran community and directly impact the success of transitioning veterans.
Thank you, Keshia, for all you do for Foundation for Women Warriors and the veteran community. And huge congratulations on this well-deserved award!
