Rob Baptie is an elementary school principal, Air Force veteran, founder of the Hate Project, and supporter of Foundation for Women Warriors. Rob started the Hate Project, a non-profit crowdsourcing endeavor based on the idea that together, smaller donations that might be deemed insignificant can make a huge difference when pooled together. Rob sells a variety of “offbeat” goods and gives the profits to causes he deems worthy.
When asked why he chooses to support veterans, Rob said, “I grew up in a patriotic family of several successive generations of veterans, myself included. I know firsthand the core experiences that perhaps others may or may not value, and feel that supporting fellow veterans’ activities, this fosters community for those who have served.”
Rob first learned about Foundation for Women Warriors from former Board President Meredith Ann Brenalvirez. Meredith, a champion for women veterans, made an impression on Rob as a true embodiment of our guiding principles and introduced him to our programs and our impact. Rob has gotten to see the evolution of our Connect with Community program, noting how it is “essential to help our vets transition into their new lives.” Why does Rob choose to continue to support Foundation for Women Warriors and our mission? “I think it’s fantastic that there is a group of folks willing to empower the female perspective. We grow stronger together if we all have an equal chance.” We thank Rob for his continued support of our mission and his efforts to help empower the future of women veterans in Southern California!
