According to the U.S. Census Bureau, households spend between 8%-19% of their income per child on paid childcare. For many transitioning veterans, this cost can be overwhelming, making it difficult to pursue education, secure employment, and build a stable future for their families.
For Brooke, a Marine Corps veteran, these challenges were all too real. As she transitioned out of the military and summer approached, she faced an impossible choice: delay her education, or struggle financially with the cost of camp.
